At HEM Motor we do not merely supply electric motors; we manufacture them in our own facility and ship them from stock. An electric motor is the workhorse that turns grid electricity into a rotating shaft to drive your machine, and in this category you benefit both from the engineering know-how of a maker and from the wide stock and quick dispatch of a supplier.
Our portfolio reaches from small workshop powers to the high-power demands of heavy industry. On the efficiency side we cover IE3, IE4 and IE5; on the body side cast iron and lightweight options; and on the drive side different pole counts, all under one roof. Our motors are built with IP55 protection and Class F insulation, with slip near 4% around full load.
Choosing the right motor the first time affects both the initial outlay and years of running electricity cost. If you are unsure which power and speed suit your job, our engineering team advises based on your application. In IEC frames between 132 and 355, the frame number also gives the height from the foot base to the shaft centre in millimetres. What makes replacement difficult in this range is n... More Details
When choosing a replacement for a three-phase motor whose nameplate shows HP (horsepower), the right approach is to convert the HP value to kW and fit it to a standard kW rating: 1... More Details
For a 160 kW three-phase asynchronous electric motor, the frame choice depends on speed: in the HEM Motor 2026 catalog, the 2-pole and 4-pole 160 kW models use a 315L frame, while ... More Details
With a 132 kW three-phase asynchronous electric motor, the real work begins after the motor has been chosen: if the cable, switchgear and transformer capacity feeding a load that d... More Details
When choosing a 90 kW three-phase asynchronous electric motor, the first decision is the speed; frame, current, torque and even the base preparation follow from that decision. In H... More Details
When replacing the drying fan motor of a glass washing machine, three things must stay the same as on the old motor: the number of poles (and therefore the fan speed), the motor's ... More Details
On a cold storage condenser, a standard three-phase motor can be used if the fan propeller is fitted to the shaft of a separate IEC-frame motor or driven by a belt. In external-rot... More Details
On a textile winding machine, what determines the motor choice is how the load changes as the roll grows. If fabric is wound at constant speed and constant tension, when the roll d... More Details
The motor for the circulation pump of a fabric dyeing machine is chosen not by looking at the machine's capacity but according to the pump's own data: flow, head, pump speed and th... More Details
When a stenter fan motor is replaced, two conditions are decisive: the temperature where the motor sits must be at a level a standard IP55, class F motor can work in, and the new m... More Details
When choosing the turntable motor of a pallet stretch wrapper, the real compatibility is between the motor and the gearbox: the motor speed and the gearbox ratio determine the tabl... More Details
A standard three-phase motor is the right choice for the hot air fan of a shrink packaging machine only if the motor frame stays outside the hot zone of the tunnel. The fan impelle... More Details
When selecting a ball mill motor, the real challenge is not running but starting: the ball and material charge inside the rotating drum forms a large unbalanced mass that the motor... More Details
On a screw sand washer, the motor and gearbox are selected together: the motor supplies the power, and the gearbox produces the torque needed to turn the screw slowly through water... More Details
In an asphalt plant, the mixer motor drives the twin-shaft mixer (pugmill) that makes the hot mix homogeneous within a short time. Two conditions are decisive for this motor: the h... More Details
In a vertical shaft impact crusher (VSI), the rotor is driven by belt either by a single motor or by two motors placed on either side of the crusher. In a single-motor arrangement,... More Details
The electric motor of a cone crusher usually drives the crusher's countershaft (pinion shaft) by V-belt; the compatibility of a spare motor is therefore checked starting from this ... More Details
On a diamond wire saw, the main motor sets the cutting speed of the wire by turning the drive wheel. That is why three questions are answered together when choosing the motor: how ... More Details
When replacing the motor on a pillar drill, the easiest route is to choose a motor with the same power, the same number of poles and the same shaft diameter as the old one and to m... More Details
The main motor of a universal lathe is chosen to match the power and speed on the lathe's nameplate, preferably with the same number of poles and the same mounting arrangement. All... More Details
