Ask which motor type appears most often in industry and the answer is usually the asynchronous motor. Running on alternating current (AC), these motors have no brushes or commutator; that simple construction makes them a low-failure, easy-to-maintain workhorse. At HEM Motor we manufacture asynchronous motors in our own facility and deliver from stock, offering both single-phase and three-phase models across a wide power and speed range.

The operating principle is simple yet robust: the rotating magnetic field in the stator induces current in the rotor and torque is born. Because the rotor turns slightly slower than this field, the resulting gap is called slip; near full load this is about 4% in our motors. Built with IP55 protection and Class F insulation, they suit speed and torque control via an inverter.

  • Single-phase: 220V grid; workshop and small-power uses.
  • Three-phase: 380V grid; industry needing high power and efficiency.
  • Pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors, lifting and crushing-screening lines.
  • Construction that can be built in IE3, IE4 and IE5 classes.

With the right protection relay and thermal setting, an asynchronous motor serves trouble-free for many years. If you seek higher efficiency, see our IE4 and IE5 series.
