At HEM Motor we do not merely supply electric motors; we manufacture them in our own facility and ship them from stock. An electric motor is the workhorse that turns grid electricity into a rotating shaft to drive your machine, and in this category you benefit both from the engineering know-how of a maker and from the wide stock and quick dispatch of a supplier.
Our portfolio reaches from small workshop powers to the high-power demands of heavy industry. On the efficiency side we cover IE3, IE4 and IE5; on the body side cast iron and lightweight options; and on the drive side different pole counts, all under one roof. Our motors are built with IP55 protection and Class F insulation, with slip near 4% around full load.
Choosing the right motor the first time affects both the initial outlay and years of running electricity cost. If you are unsure which power and speed suit your job, our engineering team advises based on your application. No; a larger motor running at the same speed does not increase the flow of a centrifugal pump. How much water the pump delivers is determined not by the motor's power but by the im... More Details
When replacing a jockey pump motor, the power is kept the same as on the old motor's nameplate; the two issues that really need attention are mounting compatibility and how many ti... More Details
Motor selection for a hot oil (thermal oil) circulation pump rests on two facts: the pump is under the most strain at a cold start, when the oil is thick, and the motor sees the he... More Details
The motor of a chemical transfer pump is selected according to the conditions of the environment, not of the pump. The pump's power and speed are determined by the fluid's density,... More Details
When replacing the motor of a multistage high-pressure pump, the three most critical points are these: the new motor's speed must be very close to the old one, because as the numbe... More Details
If a conveyor will not start under load, the first step is not to fit a bigger motor or change the gear ratio but to find out what is preventing the start. In most cases the proble... More Details
On a rebar bending machine, motor and gearbox compatibility is checked at three points: does the new motor run at the input speed the gearbox expects, do its flange and shaft physi... More Details
The motor of a hydraulic press pump is chosen not by multiplying the press's highest pressure by its highest flow, but by the power the pump actually draws at each step of the cycl... More Details
When the fan motor of an air handling unit is replaced, the new motor must match not only in power and speed but also work with the existing fan's mechanical connection and with th... More Details
When choosing the motor for a dust collection extractor, many people treat a dirty filter as the worst case. For radial fans the opposite is true: when the filter is clean or a bag... More Details
When choosing the motor for a centrifugal (scroll-housing) fan, first find the speed at which the impeller must turn, then calculate the power the fan draws at that speed, and fina... More Details
A jaw crusher is the machine that breaks large rock at the first stage in quarries and crushing-screening plants. The moving jaw is pushed towards the fixed jaw by an eccentric sha... More Details
A 22 kW motor running at full load draws more than 22 kW from the grid. At IE3, the efficiency limit for a 4-pole motor of this rating is 93.0 %, so the motor takes in roughly 23.7... More Details
When choosing the motor for an industrial vacuum pump, three questions are decisive: at what speed was the pump designed to run, how is the motor connected to the pump, and how man... More Details
The motor power for a surface irrigation pump is found by adding a margin to the shaft power calculated from the pump's flow and head; the speed is the speed the pump was designed ... More Details
Replacing the motor on a horizontal water pump is often thought of as "find a motor with the same power and speed, then fit it". In reality, the main part of the job is making sure... More Details
In a milking system, when the vacuum pump stops, milking stops too. Because cows have to be milked at set times, a pump motor failure is one of the jobs on a farm that cannot wait.... More Details
In biological wastewater treatment plants, the blower that pushes air into the aeration basin is considered the heart of the plant. If the bacteria run out of oxygen the treatment ... More Details
In drying, baking, paint curing and heat treatment ovens, the fan that circulates hot air is one of the parts of the line that never stops. When the electric motor driving the fan ... More Details
On a dough kneading machine, the spiral or fork arm folds the dough with a slow but powerful movement; on most models the bowl also turns about its own axis. This need for low spee... More Details
