This table shows the 25 different IEC frame sizes in the HEM Motor range and the power and speed of the motors available in each frame. The values are taken from the technical data of the products on our website. Each power links to the corresponding product page.
Why does the frame code matter?
The number in the IEC frame code gives the height of the shaft above the foot base in mm: on a 132 frame, the shaft centre is 132 mm above the base. When replacing an old motor, choosing the same frame code means the foot holes and shaft height match, so the motor base does not need to be modified.
The number in the frame code is the height of the shaft centre from the floor: 132 mm for a 132 frame.

Within the same frame, power decreases as speed decreases. For example, the 90L frame holds a 2.2 kW motor at 3000 rpm, 1.5 kW at 1500 rpm and 1.1 kW at 1000 rpm.
Our aluminium frame motors are available up to 11 kW and our cast iron frame motors from 0.55 kW; both frame options are available for the powers in between.
The frame letter (S, M, L) indicates a different frame length at the same height; L is longer than M.
The frame code is written on the motor nameplate. If the nameplate is unreadable, simply measure the height of the shaft from the base. If you prefer, send us a photo of the nameplate or the motor, and we will determine the right frame together. +90 532 345 49 86
The cards show example models related to the topic. A suitable motor is not chosen by power alone: compare speed, voltage, mounting, shaft and connection dimensions on the product page; if unsure, send a photo of the existing motor’s nameplate on WhatsApp.
The IEC frame number gives the height from the motor's foot base to the shaft centre in millimetres. In the HEM Motor sales range, the small frames between 63 and 112 mostly carry ... More Details
When replacing a motor in a tight installation space, the same IEC frame code alone is not a sufficient guarantee. The frame code defines shaft height, foot hole spacing and shaft ... More Details
