Yes. Our three-phase ranges are suitable for speed control with a frequency converter; for long periods at low speed with full torque a separately powered fan may be needed, and with a long cable a dv/dt or sine filter is considered; these conditions are stated in the order.
The drive operation notes in the catalogue highlight four points:
- The rated current of the motor and of the drive, and the carrier frequency, must be matched to each other.
- At low speed the fan on the shaft may be insufficient; a separately powered fan may be needed.
- With long cables a dv/dt or sine filter should be considered.
- Large frames may need an insulated bearing or shaft grounding.
So the order should state not only kW and speed but also the required speed range, the load type (pump, fan, conveyor…), the time spent at low speed, the cable length between drive and motor, and the inverter to be used. The single-phase range is outside this scope; see the separate question on single-phase motors. For suitable ranges, see the inverter-compatible electric motors page.
