Because these systems usually run non-stop, motor efficiency feeds straight into the annual energy bill. Slip near full load in our motors is about 4%, and they are built with IP55 protection and Class F insulation. In high-temperature applications such as smoke extraction, the insulation class and protection level become decisive in selection.
