B5 mounted electric motors have no foot mounting and are bolted directly to the machine through the large flange on the front end shield. Manufactured by HEM Motor, B5 flange motors provide a compact, accurately aligned connection to gearboxes, pumps and fans, and are delivered quickly from stock.

In the Turkish market, 315 kW and 355 kW 1500 rpm motors commonly use the 355 frame with a Ø100 mm shaft. Before ordering, the motor power, speed, frame size, shaft diameter, shaft length, key dimension, flange diameter and spigot diameter must be verified against the technical drawing or catalogue. If the wrong flange size is selected, the motor may not fit the machine or a centering error may occur; this can lead to vibration, bearing failure, coupling breakage, strain at the gearbox input, or reduced pump and machine performance.
